Preliminaries: I have been all over the place this past week. Sleeping at a different hour every night (ranging from 10.30pm to 6.30am), eating a ton of junk food late at night, not getting anything done, etc. My weight is increasing like crazy, and I feel shit…
Hypothesis: For too long I have lived life without any schedule whatsoever. (I have not set an alarm since many years now). So this is a week long experiment to plan the basic life functions in detail. The idea is to have a fun morning activity as a reason to wake up on time, and tire myself out throughout the day through work and exercise and not sleeping, to hopefully make me sleep better and on time at night. Meanwhile decide food and activities the night before to reduce friction in decision making and leave energy for surviving this drastic change in lifestyle.
Conditions:
sleep: wake up at 7 am using an alarm everyday. keep screens away by 10.30pm and kindle (if using) by 11pm. No sleeping in the day…
exercise: walk for 1 hour every morning. warm up and stretching/yoga/walk in the evening. If legs not paining continue the c25k program.
eating: 4 meals in the day. Allowed snack in the evening and after dinner. Fix breakfast and snacks the day before. No dessert. Eating out allowed twice a week…
activities: 4 batches broken by the big meals; so 4 activities to be decided the night before.

Conclusion: we shall see…
